Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Foundation Powder & Tinted Natural Earth Cream Review/Swatch

Today I am going to review Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Foundation Powder (Medium Minerals Golden Light-£17.50) and Tinted Natural Earth Cream(Medium-£11.00) which I have been sent very kindly along with two more products to review on my blog. Dusty Girls is framed by MooGoo which is a cruelty free Australian Skincare brand based out of Gold Coast, Queensland. Their entire range is made with natural, safe and effective ingredients for those wanting products that are actually good for the skin, rather than harmful and damaging. They recently opened up their own distribution warehouse in the UK. I have heard bunch of positive feedbacks for MooGoo Skincare products. Their products are so effective for problematic skin and I have read many positive comments and posts how MooGoo products helped people to solve their skin related problems. Who does not love to try new makeup and skincare brands and their products especially natural effective products? So when I got chance to review and introduce Dusty Girls Natural Beauty Products on my blog I jumped into it. I am sure you beauties also as much excited as I was to know how well it goes on.

Dusty Girls uses clay and minerals from the earth to improve skin tone and their all the products are 100% natural. They do not use clogging silicones or any penetration enhancers to their products while the products still give beautiful looking makeup on face. I totally agree with them on this point. I love the cute little note on the side of their packaging which says ‘Not tested on animals (they’re cute enough without makeup)’. I am in love with Dusty Girls card box packaging. Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Foundation Powder comes in an adorable sky blue and white card box packaging. Tinted Earth Cream comes in an orange card box packaging. I love the print on the packaging a tree and fences looks like country side farm theme going on. They have added small and useful detailing on their packaging. They have printed directions and tips right on the inside of the boxes.

Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Foundation Powder (Medium Minerals Golden Light-£17.50)

I was so excited to try mineral powder foundation as I have never tried foundation in powder form. Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Foundation Powder comes in 9 different shades to match all skin tones ranging from fair to dark with different shades for different undertones. I have picked up Medium Minerals Golden Light shade which is perfect for my medium skin tone. If you not sure which shade would be more suitable to your skin tone don’t worry just simply answer few questions by clicking on Click to start button on their foundation page and it would help you to find your shade.

This Mineral Foundation Powder is very subtle so you need few layers for it to get the right coverage and even out the skin tone. If you want high coverage you can use it over BB Cream or Tinted Creams. I have been using Vintage Cosmetics powder brush to apply this foundation powder. This foundation powder makes my skin look flawless and more natural looking. This powder covers any blemishes and redness on skin. It feels so light on skin and not feel cakey at all even if you add many layers of it on skin. Apply mineral foundation soon after moisturising your skin for a little dewy look or wait for few seconds to sink in your moisturizer into skin. Swirl your powder brush or kabuki brush in the powder, remove any extra product by tapping and apply on your face. It applies smoothly and evenly and blends easily. I have tried and tested it when I was on mini vacation few weeks ago. I have used it for 5-6 times during my vacation, it stayed on my face very well for all day and lasted almost 8-9 hours for me. So the lasting power of this foundation is amazing. It did not cause any breakouts so thumb up! This is a great mineral foundation powder if you want light coverage and natural non cakey finish. I am loving this foundation so much and packaging is so adorable.

Tinted Natural Earth Cream(Medium-£11.00)

The Earth Cream is a natural tinted face cream that also contains ingredients in it for acne prone skin. This Earth Cream comes in two shades Light and Medium. I have picked up Medium for me which is perfect for my tone. I am in love with Dusty Girls products packaging, they are cutest and eye-catching. This tinted face cream comes in handy pump bottle. The texture of this cream is thick, once you start smoothing it out with finger it appears thinner. The colour of the product is much like normal foundation but it goes on much lighter while you start spreading it. I just require one pump, it is enough to cover my entire face. Before I apply this tinted cream I moisturise my face well with my daily cream. I have dry skin so I always put good moisturiser first to avoid any dry patches on skin. This earth cream gives a nice sheer coverage. If you want bit more coverage you can always build up by adding few more layers of it. It gives natural healthy looking skin and also protects your skin from sun. I am not loving the smell of this product much it is not unpleasant but bit irritating. It is due to natural ingredients in it I think. They have not added any extra fragrances as this cream is designed for sensitive and irritable skin. Anyway smell disappears after a few moments. It does not put me off using this product.

I am obsessed with Vintage Cosmetics Foundation Brush now a days so I use it to apply Earth Cream on my face. It also applies well with fingers. It gives even sheer coverage and flawless finish to my face. This cream is perfect for daily use as it has UV protection. It keeps my skin well moisturised and healthy looking all day that is the most important thing. From swatch you can see how it evens out skin tone and helps to hide redness on skin.

Now a days I am often reaching for both of this products, I love how it gives healthy natural looking skin without any damage to my skin. Both the products so gentle on my skin have not caused any irritation or breakouts. InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Gel is versatile you can use it on your eyes, face and neck too. This gel helps fight the aging process. It is scent free so if you are sensitive to smell then it is perfect for you beauties. The gel itself is kind of milky in colour and it is not too thick or watery. The texture is just right. This gel is quite light-weight and spreads easily on the skin. It takes about 30-40 seconds to dry out. After the application around eyes and on face I feel slight tightness of the skin where I have applied the gel but that is totally normal.

I do have dark circles and I use Olay Eye Cream since last many years. I have been using InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Gel since 3 weeks I think. I take some gel on my finger tips, rub it and then I dab it around the eye area. It sinks in quite nicely and it gives cooling sensation when you apply it to the under eye area. This gel is non sticky. You can use it twice daily. I use this gel during night under my eye area then go to bed and woke up with noticeably brighter, more awake looking eyes. The color underneath my eyes was a few shades lighter and quite a bit smoother. I’ve been using this product every night and enjoy the cooling sensation that the gel brings.

Zao Makeup Silk Foundation, Lip Polish and Nail Polish Review/Swatch

Today I am going to review Zao Makeup Essence Of Nature. Zao Makeup is a brand that is vegan, gluten-free, cruelty free and uses biodegradable reusable packaging and is certified by Ecocert, CosmoBio, Cruelty free international and campaign for safe cosmetics. I just love Zao bamboo packaging. I had the opportunity to choose some products to try and review on my blog and I have picked up Nail Polish 648 Jade, Lip Polish 031 Burgundy and Silk Foundation 703 and 704. Silk Foundation shades picked up by lovely people at Zao for me so that I can get best colour match to my skin.

A little bit about Zao Makeup…….At the heart of organic make-up is David Reccole, Founder of Zao. Inspired by a natural gift received from a Taiwanese friend (A pen and pencil made in bamboo material), David was inspired to use Bamboo for organic make-up. The round shape of the Bamboo gift is the same as the make-up castings produced today. From this point, the brand was born using Bamboo both for casing and formulations. Aside from its beauty, Bamboo is very specific for its high level of silica – Ideal for skin elasticity. The first brand with such a connection between outside and inside, such as true beauty! ZAO has developed 100% natural formulas enriched with active organic ingredients.

Zao Makeup products come in a lovely organic pouch and inside you will find that the packing itself is made of bamboo. The bamboo theme continues as one of the ingredient in the products too. Another great thing about these products is that they are refillable – you could simply buy another of your favourite shade or product, fit it in and there you go!

Zao Silk Foundation 703 and 704

Zao Silk Foundation comes in a 30ml glass bottle with bamboo lid on top. This Silk Foundations comes in 6 shades. The consistency is not too thick, almost gel like in my opinion, and it has quite a pleasant scent. The finish is a semi-matte. The light texture of ZAO silk foundation makes application easier and respond to those who want a natural complexion. This is also suitable for who have a sensitive skin. Besides organic silica contained in bamboo hydrosol, organic sweet almond oil, jojoba and shea butter give this foundation a deep moisturizing effect and a luminous complexion. Slightly powdery finish and uniform coverage for a long-lasting throughout the day.

Both the shades 703 and 704 match to my skin tone. The shade 704 is slight dark but I am using 704 shade on my forehead corners and below the cheek bone area to contour them. 703 shade is perfect match to my skin tone. So far, I’m blown away by the foundation for its semi-matte finish, long wear and light weight texture. It actually loses its matte-ness through wear and becomes more natural looking. It does not separate or look blotchy after hours of wear and it actually feels very light on the skin. Sometimes I feel like I don’t want to go outside without makeup but same time I don’t want to show that I have put lots of layers of foundation. This Silk Foundation is so perfect and it is barely visible and natural-looking on the skin. I like to apply powder on foundation to finish up the application and it sets everything nicely on face. This foundation did last a good six to seven hours without needing any attention. I am really happy with the results.

Zao Lip Polish 031 Burgundy

Zao Lip Polish comes in a beautiful bamboo 5ml tube! I absolutely adore the packaging. I was most excited to try this Lip Polish as colour is just so gorgeous. The Lip Polish is described as a lip lacquer which is opaque and glossy on the lips. The applicator is a doe foot type applicator and I am really impressed with how pigmented it is! One swipe and I got a nice opaque lustrous coat of color on my lips.

I really enjoy wearing this lip polish and it does not bleed outside the lip line and it is very light weight and very comfortable on lips. The thing most I loved about this lip polish is that it is non sticky. This burgundy shade is perfect for all skin tone. You can also use this lip polish on top of a lipstick. As far as the staying capacity is concerned, I think the lip polish did a good job! The shine did wear off with eating and drinking throughout the day but the color did stick around. Overall, I am impressed with the lip polish! It does not dry out my lips and is not so over moisturizing that it feels slippery and goopy.

Zao Nail Polish 648 Jade

Zao Nail Polish come in a 8ml glass bottle with bamboo lid on top. I am now just fan of Zao Makeup packaging. Simply Gorgeous! Zao Nail Polish is enriched with bamboo oil, which is rich in regenerating and strengthening silica. Nail polish is notoriously difficult to produce organically, and water-based nail polishes chip very easily. Unlike the rest of Zao brand, the nail polish is not organic and 100% natural. However, it is non-toxic, with some non-toxic synthetic additives to make the polish usable and durable. 90% odour free, safe and durable, this nail polish is safe for all but those with multiple chemical sensitivities. Ideal for those who require a long-lasting nail polish but want to avoid harmful toxins that damage the body.

Jade is a deliciously deep and rich green colour, it is dusty blue based green. This colour is perfect for Fall season. The texture is creamy and gives glossy finish. The formula of this nail polish is just perfect not too runny or thick. The brush is flat and wide and easy to apply with on nails, one dip covers my entire nail. With two coats I got opaque coverage. Drying time between 2 coats wasn’t long either. I got a wear time of about 4 days, after that it started wearing off the tips. I think 4 days of wear time is good. The glossiness maintained throughout the wear time and it looked creamy throughout.

Overall I am really impressed with all 4 Zao Makeup products. Packaging is gorgeous. I easily can recommend Zao Makeup products to anybody who love to try and discover organic products. Zao Makeup has Ecocert organic certification this is what sets the brand apart from natural cosmetic, and non-certified organic cosmetic brands.

Weleda Oat Replenishing Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Today I am going to review Natural Hair Care Products. I love to try and discover new natural Bath and Beauty products. Over the years I have tried many hair care lines and some of them really worked well for my hairs. I never miss a chance to try new hair care products just in case If I find something that really works better than current products I am using.

Today I am going to review Weleda Oat Replenishing Shampoo and Conditioner that I have been sent very kindly to try and review on my blog. Other 2 products I will review later on my blog. Weleda’s Oat Replenishing hair care products contain organic oat extract to help strengthen hair, reduce breakage and mend split ends, organic jojoba seed oil to restore, protect and smooth the hair’s surface, while organic sage leaf extract revitalizes and protects from damage. The oat range is for dry and damaged hair which I think most women suffer from these days as we colour our hairs and also use heat styling products this all make your hair dry and damaged. Oats have an extremely high water uptake which is great for moisture and conditioning.

Weleda Oat Replenishing Shampoo comes in a white bottle that holds 190ml of product and it has a push cap for the shampoo to be dispensed. The Conditioner comes in an orange colour squeezable tube with white flip cap and sealed tightly so you can carry it in your handbag without worrying about any leakage.

Weleda Oat Replenishing Shampoo is made with 72% organic ingredients. Containing organic jojoba oil and extracts of organic oat and sage; smoothes the hair’s surface, reduces breakage and split ends and improves suppleness. The formula of the shampoo is a bit runny. This shampoo has a floral smell. This shampoo does not lather up much on first wash. I wash my hairs alternative days and I always put hair oil before washing my hair and keep it for at least 2 hours before I wash my hair. I have to take lot of shampoo to remove oil from my hairs and ones they are oil free this shampoo lather nicely but not like other shampoo that I use. Therefore, if you are used to a foaming shampoo, you may be a little thrown off initially.

This shampoo is also easy to rinse out. Once my hairs are dry, they feel so soft, clean and healthy. I have normal hairs but in winter sometimes I find them dry. Even next day my hairs are still soft and not greasy at all. I am really happy with this shampoo.

Weleda Oat Replenishing Conditioner contains organic oat extract and white mallow extract which provides intensive moisture, while organic jojoba seed oil smoothes hair’s surface. Organic coconut oil will leave strands shiny and soft. It has very thick texture almost like a body butter. It is not the type of conditioner which oozes out of the tube all smooth and ready to be put in your hair. You have to rub it between your palms and then apply to your hairs. It has very similar flowery scent to the shampoo and I also can smell coconut in it. I am not loving smell of this conditioner much but shampoo is smelling good.

This conditioner is very rich and hydrates well without weighing down the hair. After using this, my hair is left feeling incredibly smooth and a little more manageable. I have been left with stronger and healthier looking hairs. Oats in this range work perfectly.

Benecos Mighty Orange Nail Polish Review/Swatch

This is my 2nd and last post for today. As I said in my previous post I am going to review Benecos Mighty Orange Nail Polish. I was runner-up for one competition and won this beautiful nail polish from Benecos. I have been using it since many days and have not got chance to review it, so finally today is the day. The picture I have taken is with 2 coats. No base coat is needed when using Benecos nail polish and even I have not used top coat still it has lovely gloss. This nail polish lasts very long even after 5 days it was there on my nails and my nails still were looking gorgeous.
