The Body Shop Olive Shower Gel Review

Today I am reviewing The Body Shop Olive Shower Gel(Rs.425) which I got in December month during Christmas sale. I have also reviewed The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Shower Cream and Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel. I love to use shower gels and shower creams daily instead using soaps. I have many of different brands shower gels in my bathroom. I feel that The Body Shop has great variety of shower gels and they all smell heavenly good. This shower gel is packed with skin-softening oleic acid, olive oil has been used for centuries throughout the Mediterranean as a moisturizer. Legend has that athletes in ancient Greece would rub olive oil onto their bodies. So it’s only natural that our Community Trade organic olive oil should come from southern Italy where it’s grown on family farms. We pay the farmers of the Nuevo Cliento co-operative, our Community Trade partner, a fair and guaranteed price that enables them to work their land, build their future, and stay in their communities.

Packaging is the standard bottle of TBS, this shower gel comes in a transparent bottle with flip cap to dispense the product. This soap-free bath and shower gel contains organic, cold-pressed olive oil. It has a neutral olive scent and I find it great morning mood booster. The shower gel looks very dark green in the bottle. But once you take out some product in palm it seems to be transparent gel which has slightly green tint. The texture of it neither too thick nor too runny. It lathers very well so you need very less product for one time bath. The 250ml bottle will come for a long way. It does not make the skin feel too slippery. It cleans skin efficiently without making the skin dry. It leaves faint smell of olives on skin which I really like and it lasts on skin for about 1-2 hours. Even after shower my bathroom smells of this Olive Shower Gel for long time.

The Olive oil in it helps to condition skin. The skin becomes very smooth and gives a soothing effect after the wash. It is very gentle to my skin and have not caused any irritation or itchiness. It moisturises the skin well but still I need to apply body lotion after shower to moisturise and nourish the skin due to dry skin in Winters. I think during summer body lotions and moisturisers can be skipped after using this shower gel. This is my 2nd favourite shower gel of The Body Shop. Even my hubby loving it too, so this baby not going to last long as we both sharing the bottle. I think it will last two more weeks and then going to re-purchase it again.

I highly recommend this Olive Shower Gel to you beauties if you have not tried yet. I am not going to praise it more now, just you try it and you would know! If you have already tried Olive Shower Gel then please let me know your thoughts on it. Which one is your favourite The Body Shop Bath Product? Do let me know in comment section below.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel Review

One more review on The Body Shop Shower Gel. I am reviewing The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel(Rs.425,250ml) which I got in December month. I have used this shower gel earlier too and I really liked it specially the fresh scent of it so while shopping online I added it to my cart. When it comes to shower gel, I am not overly fussy – so long as it smells nice, I am generally sold. In my previous post I have reviewed Cocoa Butter Shower Cream which you can find here. The Wild Argan Oil range is made of previous handpicked community fair trade wild argan oil, found deep in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Argan oil is traditionally used by the Berber womer, as part of their hammam beauty rituals, to protect and nourish their skin and hair from the harsh Sharan winds and fierce sun. It is rich in essential fatty acids – including linoleic acid(omega 6) and natural tocopherols, making it a superior skin-nourishing ingredient and earning it the title “Queen of Oil”.

The shower gel comes in a solid transparent plastic bottle with flip top. The shower gel is orangy brown in color. The consistency is medium. It has very gorgeous semi-sweet nutty fragrance which lingers on for about hour after bath. The scent is very refreshing and uplifting. I love how my whole bathroom smells of this shower gel while taking bath. The fragrance is not overpowering but not very subtle too. It lathers up very nicely compare to shower creams. As all the TBS shower gels and creams are soap-free, it does not make the sky dry.

Bubbling Bath is always the ancillary I gravitate to first. This Argan Oil and Honey infused treat hydrates and conditions the skin while the lovely scent lingers. It is also infused with Castor Oil & Glycerin which are known agents to preserve moisture of the skin. It is very moisturising and nourishing. You can skip applying body lotions or body butters for few hours after using this. It is that moisturising. It leaves the skin supple and comfortable. This Argan Oil shower gel felt really kind on my skin and did not leave it feeling dry as other shower gels seem to.

I definitely recommend The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel as not only does it smell incredible, but it also lathers really easily, which means a little product goes a long way. It nourishes skin while showering and after showering as well. I also looking forward to try some more products from Wild Argan Oil range.

So what do you think about this shower gel? Have you tried any products from The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Range? Do you have any recommendation?

The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Shower Cream Review

Recently I did a small The Body Shop Shower Gels Haul. In December month Body Shop has awesome offers for Christmas on their skincare, bodycare and makeup products. The shower gels were only Rs. 299 for 250ml bottle so I thought why not to take advantage of this great deal. There were total 6 shower gels for Rs. 299 each but I managed to get only five of them as one was out of stock or sold. In past I have tried their Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel and I loved it so much. The scent of it is just gorgeous, so I had to re-purchase it. I have been trying all shower gels since I received and going to review them one by one. All of TBS shower gels and creams are cleansers that are formulated without soap, so they are perfect for sensitive and dry skin, as soap can dry the skin out further. Today I am reviewing Cocoa Butter Shower Cream. I am fan of Cocoa and Shea Butter products so I got this shower cream considering it would smell like Cocoa but it smells more like sugary and vanilla.

The packaging is very simple, compact and fuss free. It comes in a transparent sturdy plastic bottle with flip top which seals tightly and makes it leak proof. It has rich creamy texture. I think it looks a lot like custard! It lathers quite well but not as good as others. This body wash is luxurious when used on a poof or sponge. The fragrance is mild and does not make whole bathroom smell full of this fragrance.

I have used it in both the ways with poof and with hands and I liked it more with poof as it lathers nicely with it. When I am in hurry I just take this shower cream on my palms and then apply all over body. As it foams gently, it rinses off very easily. It leaves my skin feeling clean, smooth and did not strip the skin of its moisture which is best thing if you have dry skin like me. I follow up with my daily moisturiser to avoid any dry patches on skin. The scent of this shower cream does not last long but stays on for a quite while.

I definitely recommend this Cocoa Butter Shower Cream if you have dry skin as it maintains natural oil balance of skin and makes it soft and supple. It retails for Rs. 425 that is quite affordable according to me. So what do you think about Cocoa Butter Shower Cream? Have you already tried it? Which is your favourite shower gel or cream from The Body Shop? Let me know your thoughts in comment section below.

Himalaya Herbals Cocoa Butter Intensive Body Lotion Review

During winter we need extra moisturisation and nourishment for our skin as skin tends to dry out and lose moisture in winter so having a good body lotion is must. Today I am reviewing one more Himalaya Herbals product that is Cocoa Butter Intensive Body Lotion(Rs. 250). I got this body lotion one and half month ago I think. I have used it few years back when I was in Europe and I quite liked it specially the scent so when I was doing my monthly shopping I show it on shelf and grabbed it. I love anything in cocoa butter. Himalaya Herbals Cocoa Butter Intensive Body Lotion is a luxurious blend of carefully selected botanical extracts that intensely moisturizes and provide essential nutrition to your skin. The key ingredients are Cocoa Butter and Wheat Germ Oil. Cocoa Butter repairs, intensely moisturizes and improves skin texture while Wheat Germ Oil with Natural Vitamin E boosts skin elasticity.

Himalaya Herbals Cocoa Butter Intensive Body Lotion comes in a simple opaque white plastic bottle with a green flip top. The bottle is travel friendly. The pack is also available in 100,200 and 400 ml versions. The body lotion is white in colour with light tint of brown. It smells of cocoa that is very yummy and sweet, lingers for some time. The texture is so soft and creamy. The consistency of it neither too thick nor too runny. It applies on skin effortlessly. It gets quickly absorbed into the skin without leaving any residue behind. It leaves skin feeling soft, smooth and well moisturized. I have dry skin especially my legs have extra dry skin so I have to re-apply it on my legs after 4-5 hours. If you have extra dry skin, you will require a heavy formula and will find it not too hydrating. I am going to use this lotion more in summer as that time my skin would not be too dry.

People with normal to combination skin can try this body lotion during winters and should find it hydrating enough. This body lotion has most of natural ingredients in it but also has parabens. Also there is no SPF in body lotion so make sure to apply sunscreen on top or as base to protect your skin from harmful rays. Overall it is a good budget friendly moisturiser and if you are cocoa butter lover then you definitely would like to try it. I will definitely re-purchase it for summer bodycare routine.

So what do you think about Himalaya Herbals Cocoa Butter Intensive Body Lotion? Have you tried any Himalaya Herbals Body Lotions? Which one is your favourite? Let me know your thoughts in comment section below.
