The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel Review

One more review on The Body Shop Shower Gel. I am reviewing The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel(Rs.425,250ml) which I got in December month. I have used this shower gel earlier too and I really liked it specially the fresh scent of it so while shopping online I added it to my cart. When it comes to shower gel, I am not overly fussy – so long as it smells nice, I am generally sold. In my previous post I have reviewed Cocoa Butter Shower Cream which you can find here. The Wild Argan Oil range is made of previous handpicked community fair trade wild argan oil, found deep in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Argan oil is traditionally used by the Berber womer, as part of their hammam beauty rituals, to protect and nourish their skin and hair from the harsh Sharan winds and fierce sun. It is rich in essential fatty acids – including linoleic acid(omega 6) and natural tocopherols, making it a superior skin-nourishing ingredient and earning it the title “Queen of Oil”.

The shower gel comes in a solid transparent plastic bottle with flip top. The shower gel is orangy brown in color. The consistency is medium. It has very gorgeous semi-sweet nutty fragrance which lingers on for about hour after bath. The scent is very refreshing and uplifting. I love how my whole bathroom smells of this shower gel while taking bath. The fragrance is not overpowering but not very subtle too. It lathers up very nicely compare to shower creams. As all the TBS shower gels and creams are soap-free, it does not make the sky dry.

Bubbling Bath is always the ancillary I gravitate to first. This Argan Oil and Honey infused treat hydrates and conditions the skin while the lovely scent lingers. It is also infused with Castor Oil & Glycerin which are known agents to preserve moisture of the skin. It is very moisturising and nourishing. You can skip applying body lotions or body butters for few hours after using this. It is that moisturising. It leaves the skin supple and comfortable. This Argan Oil shower gel felt really kind on my skin and did not leave it feeling dry as other shower gels seem to.

I definitely recommend The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel as not only does it smell incredible, but it also lathers really easily, which means a little product goes a long way. It nourishes skin while showering and after showering as well. I also looking forward to try some more products from Wild Argan Oil range.

So what do you think about this shower gel? Have you tried any products from The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Range? Do you have any recommendation?

e.l.f. Studio Conditioning Lip Balms

Today I am reviewing three e.l.f. Studio Conditioning Lip Balms(£4.50, Rs437.83) which I got last year while I was in UK. Last year I did huge e.l.f. haul but have not got chace to review them on blog. So finally today I am starting with Conditioning Lip Balms. When I opened my package from e.l.f., I was totally surprised how big these lip balms were. You get a lot of product in these containers! You get about 0.26 oz./7.5g. I got three shades Peaceful Pink, Blissful Berry and Mellow Melon. With the e.l.f. Studio Conditioning Lip Balm, your lips get treated to a sheer splash of color that’s super smooth, velvety soft and non-sticky. Not only are these sheer, natural shades beautiful, they’re also beneficial, with natural ingredients that condition dry, chapped lips including Vitamins A & E. It also has SPF 15 to protect delicate lips against harmful sun damage.

e.l.f. Studio Conditioning Lip Balm comes in a large glass like plastic pot. I find packaging attractive and very strong. But for application on lips one has to dip fingers to get the product out which is unhygienic and it makes it a little less travel friendly. I apply it with my index finger for even application and opaqueness. Sometimes I use lip brush too. These balms are about twice the size of a traditional lip balm size. These have a small plastic covering over the rim of the lid after opening the main topper. I think it is included so the product would remain fresh.

It has creamy, thicker and moisturising consistency. It feels lightweight on lips though. It has mix of vanilla and coconuty scent which is not overpowering. For a tinted lip conditioner I would say this is quite pigmented and it leaves behind a nice pop of color. The formula wears well on my lips and feels hydrating and quite smooth. It adds nice shine to the lips too. All the three lip balms last about 2-4 hours depending on drinking and eating.

Peaceful Pink is a creamy bubble gum warm pink. It does not have any shimmer, pearl or frost. I really did not expect this product to have much pigment for a tinted lip conditioner. With one swipe, it gives a really natural pink flush to the lips. It is build-able for a pinker look. Peaceful Pink would look good on any skin tone.

Blissful Berry is warm rosy berry shade. It is sheer shade but gives very good colour pay off. If you want darker shade jusy keep layering it. Blissful Berry compliments my lips really well.

Mellow Melon is slightly more on coral shade. It is warm and instantly gives my lips life and a healthy appearance when I put it on.

Overall they are quality budget friendly tinted lip balms, so moisturisng and nourishing. It also has SPF15 to protect our lips from harmful UV rays. I have more reviews coming up on e.l.f. products so keep watching this space. You can buy e.l.f. products directly from their website. If you are staying in India you can buy e.l.f. cosmetics from Amazon, iherb.

Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream and Butter Gloss Review

Today I am reviewing Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream and Butter Gloss (Rs. 195) which I got last month from Phoenix Market City Pune(Much More Shop). I have read and heard about Miss Claire Lip Products so much and according to many of reviewer Miss Claire Lip Creams are dupe of NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. I thought why not to try them so I got three shades from Miss Claire’s. The color range has so many nudes, pinks, purples and red, for a second I thought to pick each and every shade but then I controlled myself and got only three. I have not tried any NYX lip products yet but have heard and read enough reviews of Miss Claire Lip Creams so I can confidently say these are dupe of NYX Lip Creams.

These lip products comes in a standard clear plastic tube with sponge applicator. The packaging is very similar to NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams and Butter Gloss. The matte lip creams does not have any name on packaging, only the number is printed on bottom. They have mild vanilla scent that fades away after few minutes of application. All of them apply like a dream without any tugging or pulling. The texture is so smooth and buttery. They set on lips within a minute or two. All three are super pigmented, just need one swipe. The staying power of all is amazing, stays good 6 hours on lips even after drinking. Since 15A it is super matte, it does not transfer on glasses and tissues at all, which is a major plus point!! The matte lip cream need to apply over exfoliated lips so it does not settle into the fine lines. If you have dry chapped lips must apply lip balm as base. It does plump up the lips and gives the illusion of fuller lips.

15A is mix of brown and peach colour. It is perfect nude shade for every day wear. The matte finish of this lip cream is very comfortable to wear and feel like applied nothing on lips.

BG-01 Napoleon is a bright, cheery pink shade. This is perfect shade for spring and summer because it’s got that really happy pink tone to it. BG-11 Tres Leches is a neutral nude-pink shade. It has some brown tones in it that make it even more subdued. This is a classic shade that will work for every day wear. I find both very comfortable and moisturising on the lips. Both are non-sticky. These are pleasant to wear, though you do feel the formula on your lips. It imparts a gorgeous high intensity glossy shine to the lips. These are pigmented and opaque in just one swipe.

Overall they are super affordable lip creams and I am going to pick few more shades in my next visit to Phoenix Market City. I definitely recommend them if you do not want to spend much money on NYX Lip Creams on Butter Gloss. You can buy Miss Claire products from some local beauty stores in India. I think you may also find them on Flipkart and Amazon.

The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Shower Cream Review

Recently I did a small The Body Shop Shower Gels Haul. In December month Body Shop has awesome offers for Christmas on their skincare, bodycare and makeup products. The shower gels were only Rs. 299 for 250ml bottle so I thought why not to take advantage of this great deal. There were total 6 shower gels for Rs. 299 each but I managed to get only five of them as one was out of stock or sold. In past I have tried their Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel and I loved it so much. The scent of it is just gorgeous, so I had to re-purchase it. I have been trying all shower gels since I received and going to review them one by one. All of TBS shower gels and creams are cleansers that are formulated without soap, so they are perfect for sensitive and dry skin, as soap can dry the skin out further. Today I am reviewing Cocoa Butter Shower Cream. I am fan of Cocoa and Shea Butter products so I got this shower cream considering it would smell like Cocoa but it smells more like sugary and vanilla.

The packaging is very simple, compact and fuss free. It comes in a transparent sturdy plastic bottle with flip top which seals tightly and makes it leak proof. It has rich creamy texture. I think it looks a lot like custard! It lathers quite well but not as good as others. This body wash is luxurious when used on a poof or sponge. The fragrance is mild and does not make whole bathroom smell full of this fragrance.

I have used it in both the ways with poof and with hands and I liked it more with poof as it lathers nicely with it. When I am in hurry I just take this shower cream on my palms and then apply all over body. As it foams gently, it rinses off very easily. It leaves my skin feeling clean, smooth and did not strip the skin of its moisture which is best thing if you have dry skin like me. I follow up with my daily moisturiser to avoid any dry patches on skin. The scent of this shower cream does not last long but stays on for a quite while.

I definitely recommend this Cocoa Butter Shower Cream if you have dry skin as it maintains natural oil balance of skin and makes it soft and supple. It retails for Rs. 425 that is quite affordable according to me. So what do you think about Cocoa Butter Shower Cream? Have you already tried it? Which is your favourite shower gel or cream from The Body Shop? Let me know your thoughts in comment section below.

Actually I have been sent this cream 3 months ago while I was in UK. After shifting to India I was very much busy for first two months and have not got chance to try it. So now after trying it enough I am here with review of Divine Cream. I have also reviewed Heaven Velvet Hand Cream which is luxurious hand cream I have ever tried, you can find review here. The packaging is so gorgeous in pink with shiny silver pump cap. I always admire when skincare products have pump dispenser to get the product out. You get the right amount of product and it does not create any mess. It is rich cream yet lightweight with delicate orange fragrance which is not overpowering at all. It is infused with some great essential oils like Witch Hazel, Lavender, Mandarin and Orange. It also has Vitamin A, E and other Silk Protein, D.S.H. This Divine Cream is suitable for all skin types. It repairs the damaged skin by increasing collagen and elastin levels. It also treats pigmentation including scars and acne scarring. It is anti-aging cream that decreases depth of wrinkles.

I have been using this Divine Cream in the morning and night too on cleansed skin. It moisturises and hydrates the skin very well and gets absorbed into the skin quickly. It feels very comfortable on skin. I love how it plumps up my skin and gives that velvety feeling on skin throughout the day. It helps to improve the firmness and elasticity of skin. The natural source of Vitamin C, brightens the face and skin looks more radiant. I am totally in love with this Divine Cream.
